A superb example of the  sought after kente pattern called "Sika Futuro" or "gold dust" which alludes to the pre-colonial use of gold dust as a currency and hence to the wealth and prestige of the wearer of this fabric. This is a particularly elaborate version with exceptionally varied weft float motifs. In excellent condition and dates from circa 1940s.
