Woven by Yoruba women on vertically mounted single heddle looms these wrapper cloths are thick and tightly woven to create a strong heavy fabric. This unusual example has narrow warp stripes in a natural beige cotton. It has been repaired by resewing part of one panel.  Dates from circa 1900-20 and is in good condition.
