Measurement: 89ins x 54ins, 226cm x 137cm

I am unsure of the precise origin of this rare cloth but am tentatively ascribing it to one of the Mande peoples of the north west of Côte D'Ivoire. A sparse scattering of geometric supplementary  weft float patterns of a rather simple style on a handspun cotton ground. Dates from mid C20th and is in excellent condition.
