MEASURES: 116 inches x 75 ins, 295cm x 191cm

A classic old  Ewe cotton mans' wrapper cloth with the complexity that is becoming increasingly hard to collect. An extensive variety of figurative and geometric weft float patterns on a soft faded warp striped ground. Among the most interesting motifs is a turtle and snake both catching the same fish - see detail. Dates from circa 1920-40 and is complete and in excellent condition.
