CODE#: CVP07 PRICE: US$495 Measurements: 75ins x 34ins, 191cm x 87cm Panos d'obra are characterised y complex weft float patterning inspired by Portuguese designs. These simpler forms of the style balance blocks of the weft patterning with plain areas and distinct borders. The patterns like the dark blue ground, are hand spun indigo dyed local cotton thread. This is a soft, well used piece with a couple of very minor repairs - see detail. Dates from mid C20th. A bit darker than in the picture.
