Another fine early C20th women's ikat wrapper cloth, predominantly hand spun cotton threads is a great example of the beauty Yoruba weavers achieved with a simple use of the ikat technique within warp stripes. A threefold ikat stripe is framed by a fine checked background design.  The piece is in excellent condition and retains it's original hand stitched seams. Dates from early C20th.
