MEASURES: 77 ins x 58 ins, 196cm x 148cm

Superb and rare aso oke women's wrapper with four different warp striped designs including a magenta ikat pattern. Hand spun local indigo dyed thread is used in the weft and the bulk of the warp combined with imported green and white thread. Unusually for a Yoruba cloth this early (circa 1900-20) it retains all of the original hand stitched seams and hems. In excellent condition.
