Cloths with this maroon ground are far rarer than the blue version. This is a particularly well embroidered example with rather slender, relatively delicate designs. The designs embroidered on this spectacular cloth include a peacock, butterfly, fish, cocoa tree, armadillo, porcupine, and a royal stool. All are motifs alluding to proverbs and ideas about Asante power and chiefly regalia. The cloth is in excellent condition and  dates to around 1960.
