Another superb "etu" or "guineafowl" pattern prestige robe, also likely to be the work of Nupe weavers and embroiderers. Hand tailored throughout and neatly embroidered in a particularly fine version of the complex "eight knives" design. The layout of the embroidery and the small spiral on the reverse are particularly cleanly spaced and graphically effective on this robe.  In excellent condition, dates from circa 1900s-20s.
